Greenpeace

The Brief

Back in the summer of 2014 as an in house designer at Crush Creative, we were in the ideas stage for a Greenpeace campaign pitch. Whilst social media around the world was going crazy for ‘ice bucket challenges’ one of the designers at Crush came up with an alternative piece of creative.

The idea was to take advantage of the ice bucket challenge and create a viral video with a Polar Bear (or a realistic Polar Bear suit) attempting an ice bucket challenge but failing to do so because he has run out of ice in the Artic. This idea was aimed to highlight the destruction of the Arctic due to ‘Big Oil’ and business demands for fossil fuels in a way that would get the most views.

Message: NO ARTIC MEANS NO ICE.

I filmed, edited, co-art directed and animated the piece.
