I entered a nation wide completion brief for ‘Sky Arts 15 minutes of fame’ competition. Sky asked for a 20 second sting that reveals, creates or fills the word “Arts” with left field interpretations of Art as a concept as well as expressing the Sky Arts brand. The winner would have their sting placed and played on television for the fourth coming year.
I decided to use live film and craft at the heart of my idea for this brief so I created my very own 3D zoetrope on a ceramics studio potters wheel, which caught in a particular captures the illusion of movement. In this case, type growing from the ground.
I wanted to create an ident that grabs the attention of the target audience through the use of live animation and for it to unfold, surrounded by the elements of a creative space.
I was extremely pleased to be apart of this process and have had the privilege of being short listed to final five of this competition out of thousands of entries nationwide.
